I was born on August 4th in 1953 Huntingdon Quebec, I moved to Holland in 1968 with my parents. I wasdelighted to hear when I arrived in Holland that they were starting a hockey team and played in Nijmegen up until 1975. In that time we promoted from the third division to the first division in two years which at the time was quite an accomplishment. I played in Nijmegen up until 1975 after which I played three years in Groningen and two years in Assen. In 1980 I moved with my wife from Nijmegen (Anne v.d. Boom) to Canada. I enjoyed my time in Nijmegen tremendously and always look back with fond memories. I played for the Dutch National team at two world championships in 1971 and 1972.The best player I played with in Nijmegen was Dick Jellema. The best player in my career was Herbie Redshaw in Groningen. The toughest opponent the first couple of years was Tilburg. The last few years it was always exciting playing against Heerenveen with 4500 fans screaming at you. I don't have any contact with any players in Nijmegen anymore but would like to get in contact with Jan Joosten and Jan Burg. I am currently a manager for a grocery store (Loblaws) in Ottawa. I have been married for 27 years and have two children Kim(25) and Kevin(21)
